Learning outcomes: After completing of the course students will know the basic notions of mathematical analysis, such as: limit of a sequence, derivative, indefinite integral, definite integral, and their application in modelling of phenomena and processes in physics, chemistry and biology.
Competences: Passing the course will prepare the students for studying probability theory, mathematical statistics and other branches of mathematics and computer science.
Prerequisites:
Course content: Functions: linear, polynomial, exponential, logarithmic. Number sequence. Limit of a sequence. Limit of a function. Derivative of a function. Maximum, minimum of a function. Application of a derivative to curve sketching. Convex and concave functions. Indefinite and definite integral and their application in physics, chemistry and biology.
