Learning outcomes: Students gain the ability to use selected statistical packages for editing, visualizing and analyzing biological data. Particular emphasis is put on the ability to create own programs, and on critical interpretation of results. Based on their own data collected in working groups, students carry out the analysis, using selected statistical packages. This allows them to learn the specifics of working with real data. In addition, working groups train students\' co-operation skills.
Competences: Completing of the course allows for work in units involved in the processing of real data. Additionally, acquired skills can also be used in the preparation of bachelor and master thesis.
Prerequisites: Mathematics I, Information technology
Course content: Writing own computer programs, create charts, editing of real data, interpretation of results of statistical analysis, interpretation of graphs, elements of working with large data sets.

Assessment methods: Completion of the computer lab based on credits form working group presentations and practical colloquia Practical exam The minimum level of knowledge to pass: 60%
