Learning outcomes: Student have a systematic basic knowledge of classification, working principle, cycles, efficiency and characteristics of the combustion engines as well as procedures of their selection for propulsion of vehicles and heavy machinery. Moreover, the module includes the problems related with construction of combustion engine systems i.e. timing gear, crankshafts, admission, working medium exchange, cooling, lubrication as well as technology of manufacturing mentioned system.
Competences: Knowledge of basics of the working principle and construction of a combustion engine

Course content: The module presents problems related with construction of an combustion engine’s systems such as: timing gear, crankshaft, working medium exchange, cooling, lubrication. Moreover, the module explains technology used to manufacture the mentioned systems.
