Learning outcomes: During the course a theoretical knowledge are gained in hunting management (improvement of habitats; hunting, protection against pests and disease; reducing damages caused by game animals, feeding animals in winter, etc.); practical knowledge permitting identification of game species, their aging and sexing.
Competences: Passing the course permits working in regional administration (forestry and nature conservation divisions), in agro-tourist farms (breeding game animals). The course will also allow to pass an exam for Polish Hunting Association and for a nature guardian.
Prerequisites: Zoology
Course content: Ecology and biology of game species; damages caused by game animals; pests and diseases; fundamentals of ichnology; trophies; hunting, ammunition and guns; hunting dogs.
