Learning outcomes: The student after completing the course should know: principles of drawing the development strategy up and strategic documents appearing on different rungs of the administrative division of Poland Can determine: internal conditioning of the development and to determine the appearance of the development, to formulate the mission and the vision of the commune and to choose strategic objectives and cells of a lower order To know with what methods: to conduct evaluations potentials of the commune, to effect distinguishing to internal and outside conditioning (competitive environment) To apply in practice: can gather, to select and to encapsulate needed of wanted for preparing the commune development strategy

Course content: Methodological bases: different presentations of the development strategy Types of the strategy of the local development Principles of formulating the local socio-economic policy Evaluation of local and outside conditioning of the development Evaluation and analysis of stores of the commune Constructing the mission and the vision Formulating development goals Variants of the strategy Implementing the development strategy Monitoring and the evaluation of the implementation of strategies of the commune development strategy Formulating the program of the local development Development strategy of the Country Development strategy of provinces Development strategy of the Dolny Śląsk Province and neighbouring as examples of the evaluation and potential analyses of developmental and practical formulating the mission, the vision and development goals
