Learning outcomes: Student understands relations between production, services and environmental use. Student is able to apply the sustainable development principles into professional work. Student knows political, legal and economic circumstances of environmental protection.

Competences: Student is able to analyse and asses the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) as well as to apply the environmental procedures e.g. LCA, EIA. Student is able to design the company’s environmental policy.

Prerequisites:

Course content: Business management and sustainable development concept. Ethical and sociologic aspects of the environmental protection. Legal and economic issues of the environmental protection. The structure of modern Environmental Management System and its assessment. “Cleaner Production” as environmental philosophy and strategy. Environmental Management Systems – ISO14001 standard and EMAS scheme. Environmental development financing. Ecological audit of enterprises.
