Learning outcomes: Technical basis of production of commercial feeds given to various groups of farm animals and pets. After completing the course student will be familiar with technique of choice of compounds of mixtures for animals of various species and at different age, with mixing and processing techniques and agglomeration depending on kind of production.
Competences: Student could be employed in the feed industry and as an advisor of production of commercial feed mixtures.
Prerequisites:
Course content: Types of mixtures and the procedures of production; cleaning, grinding, granulation, expanding, extrusion, micronisation, dehulling, oiling; Addition of a ctive substances and proper choice depending on the techniques applied; Systems of quality control.
