Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - knows methods for assessing ontogenetic age and sex, the possibility of estimating the appearance of the favorable course of individuals, evaluates differentiation [KB2_W04_BC] W2 - describes and characterizes determinants of physiological stress, indicates the possibility of their use to assess the biological condition of historical population [KB2_W03_BC] W3 - explains and describes the pathological changes in skeletal material in the context of genetic and environmental factors [KB2_W01_BC] W4 - knows the basic methods of ancient-DNA studies, physico-chemical studies of bone and their role in the historical population biology [KB2_04_BC] W5 - knows methods reproduce the living conditions of the population on the basis of historical skeletal material [KB2_W07_BC] W6 - knows the methodology of the excavations of cemeteries [KB2_W07_BC]. Skills: Student: U1 - knows how to plan a laboratory study of skeletal material, actually uses research techniques, is able to carry out research in the field and prepare appropriate documentation, under the care of an archaeologist leading the excavations on the necropolises [KB2_U01, KB2_U03_BC] U2 - can based on physiological stress markers characterize the mode and conditions of life of the historical population [KB2_U01_BC] U3 - knows how to observe and describe the pathological changes of bone remains [KB2_U03_BC] U4 - is able to measure and assess the necessary size of morphological features of human skeletons, knows how to properly use the equipment for measurement test [KB2_U02] U5 - knows how to work with archaeologists in the excavation job description, it can analyze the cost of field studies [KB2_U04_BC].

Competences: Social competence (attitudes): Student: K1 - can responsibly and effectively cooperate in a group, organize the work in the field [KB2_K02] K2 - is able to plan fieldwork adapted to the possibilities and plan your hardware, is creative [KB_K03].
