Learning outcomes: Description of the test archeozoology methods, the possibilities of this discipline and the principles of interpretation of the results of research osteology materials. Presentation of the state of research on the animal economy. The student acquires during the course of theoretical knowledge in the field of evolution and domestphication animals and animals played a role in the development of human culture.

Competences: Completion of course allows the student to use the acquired skills (with emphasis on practical skills) of the interpretation of research methods with particular emphasis on quantitative and qualitative assessment of bone debris. Application of acquired knowledge refers to scientific research and the performance of the outsourced expertise (eg City) on the acquisition, preservation, documentation and description of bone debris in the modern archeozoology. Completion of the course will allow for further training in the field of biology and research archeozoological, palaeontological and archaeological sites.

Prerequisites: None.

Course content: Include the definition and importance of archeozoology using animal parts as a source of information about the diversity of material and cultural life in different historical periods; bones knowledge of the animal and its research, as well as about the processes domestic and use of animals in later stages of peopleling; practical determination fauna from the debris of the excavation.
