Learning outcomes: The student acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding the construction, the calculation of lines for each group of farm animals. Associates and describes the construction of production lines with the selection of machinery and equipment. It gathers news about the rules of proper selection and use of equipment in livestock production. 16. Skills: The student acquires the ability to develop technological cards for each group of farm animals. He can choose the machinery and equipment used in technological lines for different groups of animals with regard to welfare and to minimize the requirements of technological effort. It can calculate basic indicators of operation of machines and to evaluate the economic suitability.

Competences: The student demonstrates an understanding of phenomena occurring between environmental factors and parameters of operation of machinery in animal production facilities. Organizes and conducts research in the team during the draft process lines for the selected group of animals. Appreciates the need for self-improvement and the need for training. Evaluates and explains the usefulness of various machinery and equipment for their efficiency and performance. Observes the rules of hygiene and safety procedures in the course of production. Demonstrates responsibility for design tasks undertaken

Prerequisites: Mathematics, The mechanization of livestock production.

Course content: Design lines in the animal husbandry. The development of the technology and the principles of selection techniques. Comparative analysis and design criteria of farming.Elaboration of the technological foundations, comparative analysis, projecting systems of breeding. Elaboration of an idea and detailed calculations of technological lines, technical equipment of animal buildings and the economical effect of the investment. Selection of machines and devices. Automation of the processes and monitoring the herds.
