Learning outcomes: On ending the course the students know main law regulations of a copyright and a patent law. They distinguish personal copyrights and property copyrights and have insight in claims result from them. Besides, they can find law regulations that are good for inventions, production models, applied designs, trademarks, geographical designations, integrated circuit topographies. Students are familiar with rules of legal using of a copyrighted work and the rules, of which companies can accept the advanced design and pay to their authors.
Competences: Ending the course makes a possibility to fully legal using of the copyrighted work and contracting the agreements about this using. They can in practice apply appropriate regulations of the copyright and patent law. Besides students are able to consciously participate in proceeding with patent office.
Prerequisites:
Course content: Sources of copyrights and patent law. Person of copyright. Personal copyrights and property copyrights. Formal requirements of legal using of copyrighted work. Exercising property copyrights. Protection of copyright. Subject of patent law regulation. Duties of employers and employees bound up with inventions. Proceedings with patent office. Civil and penal protection of industrial property.
