Learning outcomes: Student obtains knowledge of BASIC ideas in science Methodology like syntactic, semantic and pragmatic problems In research activity, knows choose empirical formulas for experimental results, research methods, mathematical modeling, theory of similarity and dimensional analysis. Knows estimate of measuring errors and presenting of research results. Student is prepared to research activity, connected with performing and writing his diploma thesis.

Competences: Student has consciousness of importance of acquiring to recognize mechanical systems and understanding of need of learning to improve his knowledge.

Prerequisites: Statistics , Mathematics, Physics

Course content: Basic ideas in science methology. Syntactic, semantic and pragmatic problems in research activity. Choice of empirical formulas for experimental results. Research methods. Mathematical modeling. Theory of similarity and dimensional analysis. Estimating of measuring error and complex quantities. Graphical presentation of research results. Principles to chose the bibliography. Form and content of parts of diploma thesis.
