Learning outcomes: Effects of education: Skills: student will use modern technologies in fruits and vegetables processing, knowledge about construction and principle of function in processing machines, can optimal provide machines and equipment processing, will make the correct regulation and service machines which are used in processing, has acquired the ability to planning, also doing correct exploitation and use of equipment in the processing of fruits and vegetables.

Competences: Competencies: able to assess the usefulness of individual solution of processing machines for use in processes of processing fruits and vegetables, has competence to use the devices as instructed, to carry out proper service, inspection activities about machines and processing equipment.

Prerequisites: Theory of food machinery

Course content: Assumptions and aims of subject : Goal of subject is to get knowledge about: modern technologies and techniques used in obtaining materials for processing and also in fruits and vegetables processing, gain to skills of understand the principles of the construction, operation, functioning, servicing of machines and equipment currently used in processing, automation and automatisation of processes in fruits and vegetables processing, principles of the planning exploitation and use of machines in processing.

Recommended literature: Content of lectures is available for students on CDs

Assessment methods: The form and conditions for receiving credit: pass in the 5th semester, made in written form and on the basis of the audit work. Minimum knowledge to pass is 65% of points.
