Learning outcomes: Student after completing the course mastered knowledge of the principles of construction and is able to perform the calculation of kinematic and mechanical assemblies, and examples of machine parts found in agricultural machinery. Independent projects can perform the basic elements of machines based on acquired knowledge during classes.

Competences: After the course the student can independently analyze the load and stress the fundamental structural elements found in the construction of agricultural machines. It can also do some design elements including the calculation of kinematic and mechanical and assembly drawings and regulations.

Prerequisites: engineering drawing and descriptive geometry, mechanic and strength of materials, science about materials

Course content: Strength calculations of elements of machines, forced-in joint, design of axes and shafts, tolerances and fits, rolling bearings and slide bearing, the belt gear, chain gear, friction gear, toothed gear, rigid and asynchronous coupling, mechanical transmissions, the toothed cylindrical gear and bevel with teeth of straight lines and helical, the trybology.
