Learning outcomes: During the course student gets a theoretical knowledge about the set of complex numbers, polynomial and their properties, matrices and matrix operations, determinants. Student is able to solve systems of linear equations and gets a basic knowledge of vektors in R3 and equations of lines and planes.

Competences: Passing the course permits learn mathematical analysis and is useful in physic and other technical courses.

Prerequisites: Mathematic course at high school

Course content: Algebraic form of complex numbers. Modulus and argument. Polynomials and their properties. The fundamental theorem of algebra. Matrices and matrix operations. Determinants and their properties. Laplace expansions of determinants. Systems of linear equations. Cramer`s rule. Kronecker - Capelli`s Theorem. Vectors in R3. The scalar, cross and triple product. Equations of lines and planes.
