Learning outcomes: Knowledge Knows the basic scientific methods used to describe the water cycle, the dynamics of hydrological processes in conjunction with processes occurring in the atmosphere, and has knowledge of the processes occurring in river basins and surface runoff combined with groundwater, knows simple hydrological models to predict water levels and flows in watercourse and their verification. Knowledge Can determine the size of the cross-section of hydrological parameters for the design of river hydro as calculated runoff from the catchment controlled and do not have a hydrological observations, is able to develop and evaluate water balance disposable resources of individual courses, can apply simple hydrological models to predict water levels and flows in streams characteristic.

Competences: Is aware of the uneven distribution of water resources in space and time.

Prerequisites: meteorology and hydrology, fluid mechanics, hydrogeology, mathematical statistics.

Course content: Part of the water circulation phase in nature. Hydrological characteristics of the basin, Hydrometric measurements of flow conditions and water media on hydrometric measurements. Statistical analysis of the results of measurements of water levels. The correspondence states. Flow curve. Nonstationarity flow curve. Methods to determine the main flow. Flows surpass a specified probability. Homogeneity of the sample. Drain flow measurement and flow tide. Summed outflow curve. Flows of limited duration. Curves sum durations. Extreme events - niżówki and flooding. Conventional flow. And reliable flow control of hydraulic dimensioning. Simple prognostic associations.
