Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student knows the basic principles of operation and sanitation facilities taking into account technical, environmental and economic considerations, knows rules of organization of operating services; knows basic principles of technical assessment of the equipment and installation and rules for drawing up physical plans for their exploitation; knows usefulness of information technology in operation of sanitary systems. Skills Student can determine the factors associated with operating facilities and sanitation devices; knows how to identify organization of operating services; know how to determine the rules for drawing up periodic operating plans; know how to use information technology to improve operational processes.

Competences: Shows understanding of the importance of correct exploitation of sanitary equipment for people safety and the appropriate conditions for their existence.

Prerequisites: -

Course content: Basic concepts and definitions of exploitation. Scientific bases of operation. Basic principles of operation of sanitary systems.. Operation of water supply and sewage systems. Organizational structures of restoration services and water and sanitation emergency. Water meter economy. Tariff of fees for water and wastewater. Rules of operation of water pump, hydrophore and pumping station. Basic principles of operation of small wastewater treatment plants. Operational problems of selected sewage treatment plants. Internal operation of water and sewage systems. Internal operation of the central heating system and heating nodes. Exploitation of small gas and oil boilers and for solid fuel. Operation of the central hot water system and hot water nodes and exchanger. Typical disturbance in the functioning heating system and hot water - methods of their removal. Methods of clearing and repair and renovation of sewage water pipes and central heating. Inhibitory protection of central heating installations and ways of making hydraulic adjustments traces central heating and hot water. Operation of mechanical ventilation of ventilation systems, exhaust and intake-exhaust. Operation of air conditioning systems in residential and public buildings. Operation of heat pumps and solar systems.
